Social time is an important part of Eastern Star. It’s where acquaintances become friends, where we learn each other’s stories, and where we find little ways to take care of one another.
We share meals, try new things, and make room for fun. Most of all, we show up for each other.

Our meetings bring together chapter business, ceremonies, and chances to learn. Guest speakers might share local history, introduce a community resource, or explain the work of a charity. And there is often a potluck or refreshments to enjoy together.
Putting the fun in fundraising
Supporting our chapters and charities gives us plenty of reasons to get creative. Shared projects are a chance to work side by side, meet people, and enjoy the good we can do together.
Keeping in touch
Members who cannot attend still belong. Chapters send cards, make visits, and offer small gifts to let sisters and brothers know they are remembered and cared for.
Time together, just because
Picnics, dinners, sporting events, theatre trips, museums, crafts, and walks are all part of chapter life. Many activities welcome families, friends, and people interested in membership.
On the road with Eastern Star
Visit neighboring chapters, travel to a Grand Session, or join a group trip. Each experience brings new friendships and a chance to learn how other Eastern Star communities gather and serve.
Connected from a distance
Virtual book discussions, movie conversations, and get-togethers help members stay close even when they live far apart.
Encouraging the next generation
Through Rainbow for Girls, Job’s Daughters, and DeMolay, members support young people as they learn to lead, give back, and build confidence.
