Who can join?
Women age 18 and older
Women age 18 or older may join with the sponsorship of two Eastern Star members: one Sister and one Brother. If you don’t know any members, an Ohio chapter can help you locate sponsors.
Membership is also available to women related by birth, marriage, or adoption to past or present Master Masons in good standing.
Master Masons
Men who are Master Masons in good standing in a regular Lodge of the Masonic Fraternity are eligible.
If you are interested in Masonry, the Grand Lodge of Ohio can help you find a Lodge near you.
Masonic youth organization members
Women who are majority members of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls or Job’s Daughters International, or who have been active for three years, may join once they reach age 18.

Eastern Star is not a religion. Our organization welcomes people of faith who believe in a supreme being. Members are guided by fidelity, constancy, loyalty, faith, and love.
